A watermark is a partially transparent element placed on a file to discourage recipients from copying file content. Watermarks are commonly used to emphasize the confidentiality of the sent file.
With Dynamic Watermark, you can add customized watermarks that will appear in Digify's file viewer for the following file types:
Portable Document Format (e.g. .PDF)
Microsoft Office files (e.g. .DOC, .DOCX, .PPT, .PPTX, .XLS, .XLSX)
Text file (e.g. .TXT)
Images (e.g. .JPG, .PNG)
Videos (e.g. .MP4, .MOV)
Audio files (e.g. .MP3, .WMA, .WAV)
For the full list of supported file types, please refer to this article here.
❗ Note: If you want to require your file recipients or data room guests to download your files with watermarks every time, you must set your file recipients' or data room guests' permissions to "Download (PDF)". This way, every time a recipient or guest downloads a file, it will be downloaded as a PDF with your customized Dynamic Watermark. This currently applies to Microsoft Office files, text files, images and PDFs. |
💡 Pro Tip: Dynamic Watermark will appear differently for images, Excel files, videos and audio files as compared to PDF and certain document files (e.g. .doc, .ppt). Learn more |
