❗Note: PPAD is currently a beta feature.

A .ppad file is a protected document that ensures only authorized recipients can access it. These files are secured with <a href="https://help.digify.com/en/articles/10001907">Persistent Protection after Download (PPAD)</a> , meaning they remain protected even after being downloaded.

Step 1: Go to <a href="http://digify.com/v" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">http://digify.com/v</a> on the desktop version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, and click "Continue" to install the PPAD Viewer.

❗Note: The PPAD Viewer runs directly in your browser and there’s no risk of downloading malware or unknown programs. You’re simply extending your browser’s ability to open .ppad files securely.

Step 2: If you haven’t downloaded the file yet, use the file link provided by the sender to do so.

Step 3: Locate the downloaded file on your device and double-click it to open.

💡 Tip: When prompted, select “Remember my choice for this file type: DIGIFY” to always open .ppad files with the PPAD Viewer.

It is purpose-built to open protected files and does not request unnecessary permissions.

Not at the moment. To open a .ppad file, you need to install the PPAD Viewer. However, if you prefer not to install it, you can continue viewing files online through the file link.

Can I open this file without installing the PPAD Viewer?

- Document ( .DOC, .DOCX, .MOBI, .ODT, .OTT, .EPUB, .XPS)
- Presentation (.PPT, .PPTX, .PPTM, .PPSM, .POTM, .ODP, .OTP)
- Private notes: (.TXT)
- Images: (.JPG, .PNG, .GIF, .BMP)

Support for video and audio files is planned for the future.
