Quick access links allow your recipients to access your shared file instantly, without needing to create an account, verify their email, or complete OTP authentication steps.

This reduces friction during the access process while keeping your content secure.

✔ Higher open rates

Recipients can open your file with a single click, eliminating common barriers such as logins or OTP steps.

Secure by design

Each recipient receives a personalized link that becomes securely tied to the browser they use to open the file.

Controlled distribution

Only the recipients you specify can receive a quick access link. Document Security permissions still apply, including watermarks, download restrictions, expiry, and analytics tracking.

This access method is especially valuable when sharing to prospects, investors, or large audiences who may be less motivated to complete multiple login steps.

How Quick Access Links work

When you choose Only people I specify (quick access links), Digify prepares a personalized link for each recipient. You can still revoke or change access at any time.

Your recipients can receive their quick access link in two ways, depending on how you choose to share the file.

1. When you send email notifications via Digify

If you click "Send file & notification" in Send Files, Digify will:

  • Generate a quick access link for each email you added

  • Send it directly to those recipients

  • Ensure each recipient receives their own personalized version

This is the recommended method, as it guarantees that recipients enter the file with the least friction.

2. When the generic file link is shared

Because quick access links must be delivered individually, the generic link does not contain any personalization.

Instead, when a recipient opens the generic link:

  • They will be asked to enter their email address

  • Digify checks if the email is on your recipient list

  • If it matches, we will send their quick access link to their email automatically

  • They then continue by opening the personalized link from their inbox

This ensures that only approved recipients receive personal access while preventing unauthorized users from viewing the content.

Note: When the recipient opens their link for the first time, it becomes securely tied to their current browser.

If they switch browsers, additional verification are required to confirm their identity. This ensures the link cannot be freely forwarded or reused by others.
