Data room owners/co-owners and contributors can remove and restore data room files from the Trash Can. Items in the Trash Can can be deleted automatically after 30 days or permanently by the owner/co-owner.

Who can remove and restore files within the Data room

Data room owners/co-owners can remove all files in the data room. Contributors can only remove files in folders with contributor permissions.

Within 30 days of removal, Data room owners/co-owners can restore or permanently delete any files from the data room trash. Contributors can only restore their own removed files from the Trash Can and cannot delete any items in the trash can.


How to remove files from the data room to the trash can

Step 1: Enter the data room.

Step 2: Select the file(s) you want to remove.

Step 3: Click on Trash in the floating menu bar that appears. Confirm by clicking Move to Trash


How to restore your removed files from the Trash Can

Step 1: Enter the data room.

Step 2: Go to the Trash Can in the bottom left corner

Step 3: Click on the file(s) and select Restore, either by right clicking or in the floating menu bar.

Step 4: A pop-up window appears confirming that the file(s) will be restored. Click Restore so that the file is restored to the data room


How to restore other removed data room files from the Trash Can as a Owner/Co-owner


Only Data room Owner/Co-owners can restore all previously removed files.

How to permanently delete the files in trash, as co-owner/owner.

Once the item is in the Trash, only the Owners/Co-owners of the Data room can permanently delete the files.

Step 1: Enter the data room.

Step 2: Go to the trash can in the bottom left hand corner

Step 3: Click on the file(s) and select Delete Permanently, either by right clicking or in the floating menu bar.

Step 4: A pop-up window appears confirming that the file(s) will be deleted. Select Yes, I want to delete this item and click Delete to have the file(s) permanently deleted.
