Editing files directly in your data room just got easier with Microsoft Office integration!

Easily create, modify, and collaborate on documents, spreadsheets, and presentations (.docx, .xlsx, .pptx) within Digify. Tailored to enhance your productivity, this feature simplifies your workflow, allowing for smoother collaboration and more efficient handling of your documents.

How to enable/disable editing for your data room

Step 1: Create a new data room or navigate to an existing data room.

  • For a new data room: On your dashboard, click on Create Data Room in the left sidebar.

  • For an existing data room: Navigate to the data room you wish to modify and click on SETTINGS in the top-right corner.

Step 2: Scroll down to the PREFERENCES section. Look for Editing with MS Office, then click on the toggle to enable/disable the feature for the data room.

Note: Enabling editing will disable tracking, dynamic watermark, and screen shield for all .docx, .xlsx, .pptx files in the data room.

Step 3: Once done, scroll down and click on the Save button.


How to create/modify files in the data room

Please note that only data room owners, co-owners and contributors can edit files in a data room.

Editable file formats include .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx.

To create a new file

Step 1: Enter the data room. Ensure that you are in the Files section.

Step 2: Click on the New button in the top-right corner and choose the type of file you want to create.​

Step 3: Name your file and click on "Continue".

Step 4: Begin creating your document.

Step 5: Once done, close the tab to confirm that your changes have been saved.

To modify an existing file

Step 1: Enter the data room. Ensure that you are in the Files section.

Step 2: Find the file you wish to modify. Click on the ellipsis icon ("...") beside the file name, then select Edit from the context menu.​

Step 3: Make your desired changes to the file.

Step 4: Once done, close the tab to confirm that your changes have been saved.


Microsoft integration licensing requirements

Digify integrates with Microsoft 365 for the web for editing. By using Microsoft 365 for the web through our platform, you agree to Microsoft’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Please also ensure that all editors possess valid Microsoft licensing to avoid potential licensing-related issues.
