Introducing "Restricted User" Role
Currently, Admin and User roles can send files or create data rooms once they are added to a Digify account. However, there may be times when that is not desired.
Some of our customers have requested this role for scenarios like:
Allowing interns to analyze data room analytics and invite guests
During M&A, allowing investment bankers to help manage files and review guest activity
In such cases, these parties are required to co-own and manage data rooms for a single project. However, the organisation may not want them to send new files or create additional data rooms.
Given user feedback, we have created a new role called "Restricted User" for such situations.
Restricted Users can edit Data Rooms, view analytics, and manage guests just like other users. However, they do not have the ability to send new files via Document Security or create data rooms of their own.
Improved Advanced Branding feature
Digify's Advanced Branding feature empower our customers to provide a branded viewing experience to their data room guests and file recipients, consistent with their own brand identity and visuals.
Our latest improvements create a more consistent customer branded environment.
Key changes include:
Simplified homepage view for guests | Simplified layout to reduce number of elements, and to better align with customer company's branding. |
Filtered data room & file viewing | Filtered view to only show files and data rooms from branded company, even if they were previously guests of other Digify teams. |
Branded Reset Password notifications & screen | Reflects customer company's branding, ensuring a consistent and professional touch. |

UI/UX Changes
To make it simpler to understand when access expires for a particular guest, we have added additional messages to guide you through the processes of setting expiry dates for guests and data rooms.
User logins from the iOS & Android Digify app will now be blocked (More info)
Bug Fixes
Enabled preset default values for color and position of Dynamic Watermarks when user selects "Send another file" in Document Security
Fixed print preview not working for excel files when sender viewed the file as a recipient
Fixed navigation issues for some users when a file is deleted in a data room subfolder
Fixed guests being able to download unsupported file formats without accepting the Terms of Access in due to loading delay
