Creating a data room

With data rooms, you have a secure repository for multiple files and folders, allowing you to retain control over your sensitive files and track what your data room guests are doing with them.

Data rooms are available on all paid plans. What is a virtual data room?


How to create a data room

Step 1: From your dashboard, click on Create Data Room in the left sidebar.

Step 2: Name your data room and choose your data room settings. Learn more about data room settings

Once done, click on the Create data room button.

Step 3: You'll be directed to your data room. You can add files or folders to your data room in three ways:

  • Clicking on the Select files/folders button

  • Drag and drop files or folders from your computer

  • Import files directly from your cloud storage (e.g. Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, OneDrive, or Sharepoint)

Step 4: Invite your first guests to your data room. Click on Guest on the top-right corner, then click on the Add guest button. Learn more about inviting guests to your data room
