Choose Specific Files for Screen Shield Protection in Your Data Room

When setting up your data room, you may find that some files and folders need more security measures than others. Digify's Screen Shield feature discourages screenshots from the file viewer. However, this may be inconvenient to your guests when applied to an entire data room.

For example, when setting up your data room for due diligence, you may not require extensive protection for overview documents and introductory files. However, for financial statements and other confidential information, applying Screen Shield adds a layer of protection against screenshots and redistribution.

Using Granular Permissions in your data room, you can now:

  • Selectively add Screen Shield to specific files and folders in a data room, or

  • Select certain data room guests for whom Screen Shield applies when viewing files.

The Screen Shield feature is only available for Team plan and above, or as an add-on. If you are interested in this feature, please get in touch with your customer success manager.

How it works

To use Granular Permissions to enable Screen Shield, select "Enable individually in granular permissions" when setting up Screen Shield for your data room.

Simply navigate to the Guests tab to configure Screen Shield for your data room once you've added your files and guests. This works the same as other Granular Permissions. You can apply Screen Shield either on a file/folder basis, or on a guest/group basis.
