If you chose either Owner, co-owners & people in the same group or Everyone in your Question & Answer (Q&A) settings, this may create a potential conflict with your data room Guest List settings.

By default, the data room Guest List settings is always set to Hide (i.e. data room guests cannot see who else has been invited to your data room).

When a guest submits a question, they won't be able to add any other guests in the data room to the question. As such, the guest won't be able to see the list of other guests in the data room while submitting a question.

This is the most secure setting if you wish to maintain the confidentiality of your data room guest list.

When a guest submits a question, they can add one or more guests in the same Group as them to the question.

This will allow the guest asking the question to see the list of other guests in the same Group as them. If you want to maintain the confidentiality of your data room guest list, you can do one of the following.

For example, if you have Person A, B and C from Company X, assign them to the same group after they have been invited to your data room.

This way, you can still use the Owner, co-owners & people in the same group setting for the Q&A feature while maintaining the confidentiality of your data room's guest list.

Owner & co-owners only is the most secure Q&A setting if you don't want any guest to know who are the other guests in your data room while submitting a question.

When a guest submits a question, the data room owner, co-owners will be able to view and respond to the question.

The guest can also choose to add one or more guests in the data room to the question.

This will allow the guest asking the question to see the list of all other guests in the data room. If you want to maintain the confidentiality of your data room guest list, we recommend choosing a different Q&A setting.
